A child has died after being found unresponsive in a NSW pool.
NSW Police said after receiving reports that a six-year-old boy was missing, officers were called to a property in Teralba, 22km west of Newcastle, about 3.15pm on Thursday.
Following a search of the property and surrounding areas, police said they found the child unresponsive in the pool of a nearby property.
“Police commenced CPR before the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics, however, the child was unable to be revived,” police said.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident and will prepare a report for the coroner.
They said the child is yet to be formally identified, however is believed to be the six-year-old boy reported missing.
