A man has been shot dead by police at a home in Townsville.
Police were called to the home on Payne St, Mount Louisa, just after 12.10am on Sunday, where a man threatened officers with a knife. He was then shot by police and declared dead at the scene.
“A crime scene has been declared at the address and police investigations are continuing,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
“This matter is under investigation by Ethical Standards Command on behalf of the State Coroner, with the investigation subject to oversight by the Crime and Corruption Commission.”
