Apple users are all too familiar with the pain of a fast-draining iPhone battery.

TikToker Tyler Morgan regularly shares hacks he learnt during his stint as an Apple worker.

Morgan recommended you never charge to 100 per cent and do not charge your phone overnight.

Instead, charge it to 80 per cent and select optimised battery charging under charging optimisation in settings.

“Turn off your background activity,” is his next tip.

To do this, head to general in settings and select background app refresh, then select off.

“No, you won’t get Instagram post notifications but you’ll save battery,” Morgan said.

If you want to take it a step further, turn off your location services for apps you are not using.

Just make sure to remember to keep it switched on for applications such as Find My Phone and Maps to keep track of your devices and for navigation.

Other tips include turning off the Hey Siri function, lowering your brightness and switching off Bluetooth in settings when not using it.

To check how much capacity your battery has lost to figure out whether it’s time to replace it, head to settings, choose battery and select battery health and charging.

There it will tell you your phone’s maximum capacity, the measure of battery relative to when you first bought the phone.
